Sunday's Washington Post highlighted the tensions between advocates of the public option and centrist Democratic Senators over healthcare. What's it going to take to get a public option over Democratic and Republican resistance? Well, maybe a lot of beyond the Beltway pressure -- the same kind of presure that got the President elected in the first place. Jane Hamsher, our colleague at the site FireDogLake, has been rallying the troops with a bloggers' Whip It campaign. They need to get 40 congresspeople pledged to only vote for a plan with a public option. 4 have taken the pledge, so far.
