Your night is my day: London's Underground never sleeps - Oliver Green

As the commuters of London leave and the last tubes close their doors for the night, there are bands of people across the city descending unseen to work on the tube lines. What are they doing and what difference does it make to the lives of everyday commuting Londoners? Oliver Green explains the essential work that goes on at night that maintains our 150-year-old underground system, but which no commuters ever see. All our lectures are available for free download from the Gresham College website, in video, audio or text formats: Gresham College professors and guest speakers have been giving free public lectures in central London since 1597.
