We are a fellowship that takes the Bible seriously, aiming to teach all its truths accurately, without alteration or compromise, and to live our lives accordingly. This show features the weekly sermon ministry from Grace Church.
One very real fear that believers can experience and that robs them of their peace is the fear that they may not be true believers after all and that they will ultimately fall away from the Lord and be lost. We are reminded of the verses of Scripture that show the security of the Lord's children. Then we review some ways in which we can know that we are true believers and we examine some causes of doubt and how they may be dealt with.
Writing 600 years before Jesus came, Jeremiah prophesies about One Who would come from the line of David to save His people. We see that: #The One coming would be the Lord #He would also be our Righteousness, our Savior. Jesus is the only Savior from sin, our only hope of avoiding the hell to which our sin condemns us. Therefore all are called upon to trust Him to save them, and those who have done so are called upon to obey all His righteous commands and live their entire lives for Him.

We continue to explore the fact that as believers, our communion is not just with Jesus Christ but with all three persons of the Godhead. We see: *First, that we have communion with the whole Godhead. *Second, that the grace that gives us this communion comes from all three Persons. *And finally, that each of the three Persons receives from us what that grace produces in our lives - our faith, love and obedience. If we have this communion with God this morning, we are challenged to nurture it ...
We examine the enemy of peace: fear. We consider two things: *That not all fear is bad: there is a necessary godly fear that will actually strengthen our peace. *But there is also a fear that will take it away, particularly the fear that our sins are not forgiven in Christ. If you want to be free from the fear of judgment this evening and experience the peace of God, then hate your sins and turn from them to Christ, and He will grant you peace.
God promises to give us His peace if we will cast all our cares on Him and walk with Him in faith. We consider two things: First, that this peace of God is a great blessing. And second, the two senses in which we have peace with God. We are exhorted and challenged to cast all of our cares on Jesus, so that "the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:7).
We begin to look at one of our greatest privileges as believers: communion with the whole Godhead. We see: First, why John thought it was important to communicate to his readers that they have communion with God. Second, that communion with God is a great privilege that we should cherish. Finally, what this communion is. We are reminded that the only reason we are able to have this great privilege of commuion is because of the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Worry never helps; it only hurts. It's a fundamental lack of trust in the Lord. It doesn't change anything. In short, it's sin. We consider three things to help us overcome anxiety: First, that the Lord commands us not to worry. Second, why He commands us not to worry. Finally, how trusting the Lord will keep us from worry. We are challenged to renew our faith in God, in His promises, in His kind providence, and to cast all of our cares on Him.
Concluding our examination of the Biblical case for a weekly celebration of the Lord's Supper, we consider: First, that the Lord did in fact appoint the first day of the week as our day of worship, so that we would remember His resurrection, and Second, that it seems reasonable the Lord would have us remember His death on a weekly basis as well, since these two events (the death and resurrection of Christ) are singled out above all the others in His work of redemption as what our salvation dep...
