CompostModern Interstitial

This video was commissioned by AIGA Maine for use as an interstitial between speakers at their Compost Modern conference in Portland, Maine on May 9th of 2009. It is traditional stop-motion animation, shooting two frames for one on a Nikon D70 DSLR and then edited in Final Cut Pro. The music was graciously provided by Au Revoir Simone. Beth Taylor, from Longstocking Design was the film's art director and co-producer.

goodfocus

goodfocus is a small film production company made from the creative bits of three people (Doug, Daniel and Brooke). It tends to make documentary films, though sometimes works in other forms as well (e.g. sentimentalist paper animation, magical realist fictional narrative and good old-fashioned corporate identity video). When it’s not doing these various things it spends its time reading design blogs, fishing for trout in New England rivers and streams and mucking about in old barns. Interestingly, Doug, Daniel and Brooke like to do these things as well, so it all works out for the best.
