LGBT People, the Teachers' Strike and the 2012 Elections

Stephen Durham, presidential candidate of the Freedom Socialist Party, and GLN's Bob Schwartz discuss LGBT people, the Chicago teachers' strike and the 2012 elections. Durham is a unionist, openly gay, and a socialist feminist. They discuss why the teachers' strike has national implications for labor, and demonstrate why not just Republicans, but the Democrats too are anti-labor. Arne Duncan's and Barack Obama's "Race to the Top" and "Teach for America" policies are every bit as anti-labor as George Bush's policies before them. Originally broadcast September 14, 2012
