EDTOR'S NOTE: I first met Silona Bonewald while covering a "code-a-thon" - putting a group of programmers in a room for a weekend and having them write non-stop code for new Open Source programs - for OSTG (now known as SourceForge, Inc.) My interest was purely in doing my job and getting paid for filing another story as a freelancer.Much to my surprise, I met a person who I now count among the few people I've encountered in my years as a journalist who I consider a true visionary. I think, as you listen to this podcast, you'll figure out why. Silona definitely has the gift of seeing over the horizon.As you listen to her perspectives and hear about the multiple projects in which she's involved, you'll feel as I do, that this woman has tons of energy and lots to share with the community. Best of all, she's down-to-earth and has a great sense of humor.As regular visitors here know, my partner Tom Parish and I share the duties in providing you these podcasts: I act as producer and he does the "on air" interviews.
