When I found my local observatory was publishing images every second so that observers could see the sky conditions at the sight, I couldn't help myself. It just called to me. So I played around with it a bit and made this, because we all forget to look up enough in our lives.
A Canadian National train passing over the bridge on the Assiniboine River in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I always wanted to be a Winnipeg filmmaker, and now, maybe... I am in a way. I tried to be a little looser, a little less constipated on this one. Hopefully it's the start of something.Shot on Lumix LX3, MJPEG at 1280x720 24P. Processed in After Effects. Sound processed by the excellent MacPOD software, using granular synthesis.
Shannon's ALDO Dance entry. She's fun, charming, and vulnerable at the same time, and showcasing some em-effing shoes, dawg! What! If you like it, please check out the original here http://www.aldo-dance.com/videos/ajQNlf-c_No and vote for her!
A story about two pairs of brothers, two friends, a broken truck, and the hard decisions between participation and exploitation in trying to create a documentary. Oh, and throw in a little Jack Kerouac for guidance and inspiration. Shot in Hi-8 and 16mm, transfered to Betacam, transfered to MiniDV and re-colour timed in After Effects.
I made this film for the Victoria Film Festival's My Victoria contest. I wasn't accepted. Oh well. It isn't anything totally groundbreaking, but I thought it turned out pretty good. I especially like my accordion playing on the soundtrack.

Eating a live crab is not the best way to impress your buddies, in fact it's a little childish.
Reanimating a feverish dream from my childhood, this white space with a piercing, throbbing sound. My first attempt on this theme
It was a reoccuring dream I had, from when I was a kid, that I am trying to recreate. A white depth of place, that hummed with a certain resonance that I searched to find an exit. My second attempt on this theme
