I was unhappy with the amount of vibration the LG Front Load washer had when in its spin cycle. After looking for solutions, I found two companies selling vibration absorbtion pads. This is an introduction to a test in which I measure the vibration coming from the floor next to a LG Front Load Washing Maching. I borrowed a vibration meter and test the vibration of a high speed (1200RPMs) spin cycle with the following: - No Vibration Pads, - Good Vibration (GVI) Pads, - Kellet Vibration Pads. T...
This test measures the vibration of the LG Front Load Washing Maching in High Speed spin cycle (1200 rpm) WITH the GVI Vibration Absorbtion pads installed.Compare to the test video showing the same cycle and load without any pads. You will see approximately an 80% improvement using GVI pads.
This test demonstrates the level of vibration on the floor next to the Front Load Washer when there are no vibration absorbtion pads used. You will see the foot of the washer, a vibration meter, and the probe. The segment of this test is during a high spin (1200 rpms) cycle on a LG Front Load Washer. The washer has been leveled (see intro).
This test measures the vibration of the LG Front Load Washing Maching with Kellet Vibration Absorbtion Pads installed.Although the pads do show an improvement over using no pads, the margin of improvement is much greater with the Good Vibration (GVI) Pads. Another factor working against the Kellet Pads is the fact they do not have an indentation for the Washing Machine feet to rest in. This means they will be prone to walking off the pads while in use.
This video compares the GVI Anti-Vibration Pad with other pads common in the market place.
