by the Cbox Team. The CBox project is inspired from the Eben Moglen's idea about a personal server running a free software operating system and providing safe and inexpensive communications. This implementation contributes to this vision, to share resources, such as Internet connectivity, with other members of an ad-hoc network. The system design exploits well established technologies such ZeroConf, mDNS to allow the devices to discover. It provides communication over any available technology the device may support. Furthermore, we provide a proxy-based software to maintain personal privacy and safety. The project is written in Java/C++ using Wiselib extensions for Android OS.
