It's really the two plus hours to San Antonio that seem like an eternity, but after a quick lunch stop, followed 45 min later by a trip through the big outlet malls... things are not so bad. Laredo's Japanese restaurants are terrible and Uchi is our favourite restaurant in Austin, so this trip we were excited to try it's new sister restaurant Uchiko. We also finally managed to pay our first visit to Fino and on the way back home to pass through the town of Lockhart for more of it's amazing barbeque. All places we'd love to re-visit anytime! Less
