Good job Jake! it would be nice to be able to have "playlists" as well.
Inspiring buddy. Good job!
It looks exactly like the facebook app because he stole the code. Most of the Javascript functions still have "fb" ahead of them and the stylesheet loads all the images STRAIGHT OFF FACEBOOK.COM. Check it out for yourself: http://abiel.org/code-secret/iphonemyspace-secret-dontstealthis/
Facebook has a much cleaner interface why wouldn't you want to access your myspace in a much cleaner way?
My major beef with myspace is it's slow, cluttered and has shitty privacy settings. At least this new web application is way better then actually viewing myspace via safari on the iPhone or iTouch.
WHOOOOOA. Ok everybody. (App developer here) - First off, thanks for all the kind words. Second, I KNOW I'm stealing facebook's code and if you watch the first video demo of this app, located here: http://www.viddler.com/explore/abiel/videos/3/ - you'll see that I clearly say "If anyone has any GUI or design help they'd like to offer that'd be great, because I CAN NOT release this app like this, I'd get sued in a heartbeat." So please stop with all the "big deal, so what? he just stole their code" nonsense. Truth is this app is a lot of work to write. Far more than anyone here probably realizes. And whether or not your hate myspace or think its for 12 year olds or not doesn't matter. Business wise MySpace has the largest user base and therefore makes sense to write an app targeting it.
How did you do the streaming music aspect? I didn't think the Apple iPhone SDK opened that API up?
Hey, I know Red Car Wire! I actually was roommates with Davey when we were in Britain.
