Robert: In preparation for our lunch on Tuesday( Oct 3 at noon at the Sharon Heights Club) I viewed the test vlog of the show, and the interviews with Hawk, the Mojito conversation at the Ritz, the JotSpot demo,
Ranking: #1 - Jotspot - Why: short film, good guy, good demo - no overthetop sales pitch . I was motivated to link to Jot.com and may end up using the product. So I think this approach worked well.
Ranking # 2 the walkabout with Hawk - Why? background of the bridge and the action near the bay was good, Hawk gave useful info about his techie tools and was a good subject. Titles over the sailboat intro was cool.
Ranking #3 the Mojito interviews. Why? bad camera angle( too far and shooting into your crotch) awkward microphone passing and resultant marginal sound quality, you laughed way too much - and as a saving grace, the SmugMug guy was anything but smug and I think you could have cut the b3media guy and limited the vlog to SmugMug - good guy, believeable, interesing company.
Ranking#4 the first test video of you speaking - awful camera work, too many closeups of you - obviously not intended for prime time. I would kill it or shoot it again with a bit more organization and better camera work.
Ranking #5 - the tour of the Print shop in Livingston - good subject, poor lighting, too long - take a tip from TurnHere for how to do these - ShortFilms -Cool Subjects.
See you next Tuesday!
