On September 9, 2009 at a meeting of the California Fraud Assessment Commission FAC in Sacramento, Sandi Trend who is the mother of injured biotech worker David Bell charged that the District Attorneys in Yolo County and Sacramento were failing to prosecute fraud by AgraQuest owner Pam Marrone and Liberty Mutual her insurance company. Trend's son David Bell was sickened at the Davis based company and Marrone and Liberty Mutual refused to provide his healthcare despite evidence that he had nearly 20 genetically engineered products in his body. She has presented this evidence to both District Attorney offices as well as agents of the California Department of Insurance. Bell's medical costs of over $330,000 were paid for by the Federal government instead of Marrone and Liberty Mutual. On April 27, 2008 Sandi Trend gave a statement to the City of Davis, California. She is very clear in her warnings to the City as to what has happened, and possibly is still happening in their city. Davis, CA is a hub for biotechnology and the City as well as the state of California choose to ignore the risks to the environment and human health. They have gone so far as to conceal the sole involvement of Agraquest in making David Bell; who was healthy before he went to work for Agraquest, sick. Ten (10) years later, David Bell continues to have numerous infections from known and "unknown" microorganisms experimented with and studied at Agraquest. The statement of Sandi Trend can be read [at] "USA: Biotech health risks cause concern" http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2009/10/19/18626044.php
