This is the Monmouth Film Collective's entry in the 2009 Portland, Oregon 48 Hour Film Project. We drew "drama" as our genre. Our script focuses on a family gathering in honor of an absent member. Virtually all of the dialogue is improvised. Actors knew (more or less) who their characters were and the scenario for each shot/scene and were directed to just start talking. Recording often started without the actors knowing that it had. The required elements for PDX this year were:
Prop: picture frame.
Line of dialogue: "For crying out loud".
Character: Brian or Briana Merryweather, laboratory technician.
