On Hiroshima Day, Thursday August 6, we joined family and friends for the annual IGE picnic and peace community potluck at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids. The long-running “IGE Talks” held its first outdoor videotaping on, appropriately, "The Nuclear Age... past, present, future" -- nuclear weapons, power, accidents, radioactive waste, illness, transport, management, storage, research, etc. At sundown, we floated lanterns on the lagoon in the Japanese tradition.
