Jesus has given new life to those who have placed their trust in him. Now what? Today we learn that a significant part of the new life is going out into the world and sharing that new life with others. By teaching them all that Jesus has taught us through his word, we make disciples of all nations, baptizing them into Christ’s death and resurrection so that they too might experience the new life. We also learn that this is not a task which we must accomplish on our own, nor does it mean that we no longer need spiritual refreshment of our own. Rather, Jesus is with us until the end of the age, both equipping us for mission as well as binding up our wounds.
