A Ranger Pours his soul out about the situation in Iraq...

WELL SAID RANGER! Thank you from my heart. President Bush knew he had a tough job ahead when he was tasked with protecting America after Sept. 11, 2001. He knew the actions he needed to take to protect America were not going to be popular to many, but he had a job to do. I've always been behind him and still am. GOD BLESS AMERICA
I wish with all my heart that I could shake this Soldiers hand. There are just no words adaquate enough to express my respect and gratitude to him and all our troops. I support you Sir and I believe in you and all the other brave troops in harms way. I know in my heart of hearts that we can and we must win this war. My son served two tours of duty in Iraq with the USMC. I am one of the lucky mothers who had my son return home. I continue to pray daily for all of you and will continue to do so. Thank you for your service and sacrafice on our behalf. I am so very ashamed and dismayed wth some of our leaders right now I don't know what to do. I don't know how on earth some of them got there in the first place but I am very ashamed, embarrassed and disgusted with them. God bless you Ranger....God bless America and God bless our troops!! 1Marinemom
I support our troops and their mission.

Liberalism is a mental disorder
I totally agree with Victor's mindset and wishes. When we left Vietnam with our tails between our legs because of "political expedience" caused by popular dissension here in the US, we abandoned our commitment to Laos and Cambodia and Vietnam to protect them. They gave us permission to cross their borders to "hot pursuit" the Viet Cong and we vowed to protect them. When we left the Communist forces of both countries rose up and went on a killing spree which cost the lives of MILLIONS of innocent people in those countries. We literally hung them out to dry and those lives are on our heads. Should we do the same in Iraq then Iran sows more seeds of dissension between Sunni and Shiite Muslims, infiltrates more spies and saboteurs and provocateurs into Iraq to stir up trouble and eventually be able to walk in and assume control of that country without much resistance. Iran (and North Korea) are our most dangerous foreign enemies, but our willingness to walk away from Iraq makes US, the American people, our own worst enemies. A free Iraq, strong and proud and able to defend itself, is a bulwark in a very troubled area which would become the breeding ground for Armageddon much sooner without a free Iraq. I'm not a Gung Ho-type of person. I just believe that when America makes a promise we should keep it - especially if our betrayal of trust will mean the deaths of tens of thousands of Kurds and Sunnis in the country we vowed to make free. Let our troops do the job!!!
Amen brother. Victor has shined a light for me onto this black abysse of a war. Victor I hope to God that your mission ends the way you invision it. You are in my prayers.
i agree i am retired army after 25 years 1978 thru 2003 uncle sam,the american tax payer made sure i had the best training. we were trained to win not give up.there is always one more thing you can do.failure has never been a option, every time we deployed we didnt come home untill the job was done right.not half way .all the way.why stop now.americans love to fight, they hate to loose, but they hate the site of their on blood.once the body bags start comming home americans loose interest real fast and want our troops home.if we go into a country to stop a problem then leave, and leave that country hi and dry,no leadership,no running water,no medical,no army to protect itself,no police force to maintain order.what would the world think of us?what would our country think of us?what would we think of our selfs?i believe if we did it right the first time in desert storm,we wouldnt be there right now.havent we learned anything?finish the job,do it right the first time.let our most precious asset the u.s. military do what it was trained to do.kick butt! win! compleate its mission!!!!!!!!!
sarge a concerned american!
Ever seen a grown man cry? That was the most moving sound bit I have ever heard. God bless our troops and God Bless YOU Ranger!! We need to get the liberals out of office. I have never wavered on my feelings for this war or President Bush; he WILL go down as one of the best presidents of all time. When ever I see a politician on TV whining about ending the war and saying we've lost, all I think is "Coward". Where has America's back bone gone? How did we get to be so yellow? Then I remember ... I only hear that from the politicians. Just so you know Rangers, troops and all military soldiers, America IS behind you, at least the true Americans that realize this country didn't get were they are by duck and run!
To Billundershed above: you have no idea how “ARMY STRONG” this young man is! If you have ever served in the military and had a strong belief in the mission at hand then you would know. The passion that this man shows is in conceivable to you because you relish in the freedom that you have never considering what price was paid for you to have it. Listen to the call again, listen closely. Put your self in this solders shoes. Imagine what it would be like to see the pain and suffering of others knowing that you and your brothers are their only hope. Now imagine someone telling the world that you are failing even though you know otherwise. Maybe then you could understand. Listen to it again and this time just type in THANK YOU.
Wow, I'm a Marine, therefore I have a slight superiority complex with regard to the army; however, this Ranger has hit the nail right on the head. I would be proud to serve with him, and that is a lot for a Marine to say about the army trust me.
and YOU, billundershed! I agree that the army's slogan is rather silly, (not everyone can be "looking for a few good men; one of the "few, the proud, etc) but you had better just stay away from all service people, cause you gonna make a mistake and say something like that to one of us face to face, and... well just don't do it.
billundershed:
Your a spineless low life. There are many more service men in agreement with this soldier than the whiny, gutless ones the Liberal Media sniff out and hold up. (ie: Wesley Clark)
"RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!"
