This is my project for my termite TV piece about Philadelphia. The history of this city cannot be illustrated without the acknowledgment of the millions of slaves that lived, worked, or traveled through Philadelphia. I went to the Constitution Center for Tavis Smiley's exhibit and we also watched the history of the US Constitution. In the multi-media piece they had to acknowledge the practice of slavery and called it's practice World History because it is much larger than Black, or African History. I wanted to display how Africans affected the city, its structures, its Presidents, and places of worship since Christianity was an important tool in manipulating slaves.
