Many people struggle with growing in their relationship with Jesus. They desperately desire to enter into the new life he has promised them, but they wonder how to go about doing so. In our reading from Luke today, the disciples are also struggling with the things they have heard about Jesus and his resurrection. The reading today is how they moved from mourning, unconvinced disciples to joyful, zealous believers in Jesus Christ. Though there is not set patter for spiritual growth, there are nevertheless certain things within this excerpt that were beneficial for the disciples and will no doubt bless us if we attempt to put them into practice.
