Greenhouse Effect is an Internet Rock band (Citation needed), heavily linked world wide to many websites and mLm marketing sites via the Zeus 1000 Marketing robot as well as other internet marketing techniques. In 2008, the band was probobly the 'most viewed' "Alternative rock band (citation needed)" in the world, led by their 1992 song "Brandy" and their 1989 track "A Current Affair". The main fixture and focus point of the band is 43 year old California Swimming Pool cleaner Clark hagins of Oceanside California. Higgins left the group as it disbanded in November of 1992. Higgins always and often claimed he would one day 'return' to music and G.e. but this has not been the case. In 1998, Higgins briefly played drums again with South Bay (Redondo Beach Torrance) band Svengali for about two months before his dismissal. Bassist Rick "Ted" Carmody left G.e. sometime in the summer of 1992 or just before as he does not play bass on any G.e. material past February 1991's 'Going Legit' album which featured the South Bay hits 'Ben is dead" and "Star". Its debatable South Bay legend... in the South Bay when exactly Carmody joined 'The One Handed Readers' a group from the North Redondo area , possibly comprised of people associated with South Bay inline Roller Hockey - the sport which Higgins and Carmody often played.... In the summer of 1991, Higgins recorded a song in response to the May 1991 beating of Rodney G. King called "A White Black Thang" but decided to 'never release the song' as he moved onto other material as the nature of the lyrics too controversial and graphic...as the song exclaims "NO more whites , no more blacks" ,..strangely ironically in a twist, later after the April 1992 Los Angeles Riots, King would utter Higgins' line of "We're all stuck here" which stunned Higgins and on May 11, 1992 Higgins rush released a song he planned 'never to release' , selling the song at about 20 local record shops among them Peanut Records in Lomita, Alternative groove in Hermosa beach (Owned by Mark theodore - of theologan records fame-, and ofcourse the "Go-boy" record store {Redondo Beach -citation needed} ,..who played Higgins songs on loud speakers the day it was released and all day long for bewildered customers,....after the band disbanded, Higgins says he 'went into a weird depression' often thinking of G.e. ,..but 'never going there' again....he took to a job in Beverly Hills california mowing lawns and landscaping at a wealthy arabs estate mansian,...in 1995 Higgins began to 'mainly write poetry and bits and pieces of 'song ideas' many of which never came to fruition...in 1996, higgins left the job in Bel Air and returned to the South bay where he took up working for A to Z Pool and spa service in Torrance ,..a trade which Higgins keeps as his main source of income to this day (in 1997 he ventured south to san diego's 'north county' area of Carlsbad and oceanside),....in about 2002 to 2004 and early 2005, higgins began to twiddle with the internet,...mainly hanging out in aol's 'political chatrooms' doing debate with liberal and conservative fellow chatters and 'posters',....in possibly 1999 or 2000, or 2001, higgins and his bass playing friend Dave Basen from Torrance had uploaded some of higgins songs to the mp3.com new music website idea,....at the time, mp3's could take up to over one hour to upload,...but other than higgins first 'blog incarnation - description of g.e. and the 'fountain' musical project,...nuthing much more really came from it,..and higgins rarely checked mp3.com again,....until one day in possibly 2003 or 2004 when higgins noticed hits and reviews of his music and his 1992 song "Addicted" and also 1992's IRIE BOB,.....For years, higgins fiddled around with the internet but really didn't know what to do,....often sending curious emails to small labels and learning about this new thing called Myspace or communicating via email with whome where ever he could,...sometime in possibly late or mid 2007, Higgins discovered the Googlevideo.com service,...and he began to make 'videos' of his old band G.e. - long an obsession for higgins,....., using Windows movie maker (citation needed) higgins began to find the groove to make more 'high quality videos' for his songs of long ago,....when he discovered one day his video for 'White black thang' in the number one position at Google video,...thinking it was a mistake, higgins went to a Kinkos copies in vista california and looked again to low and behold find his song as the 'number one in demand video' at Google,..staying on their page for four days in a row !! The outrageous funny 1992 videos which featured higgins, carmody, and swedish drummer palle karlson had sat unused in higgins storage for nearly 15 years unseen,..and had become an instant smash hit at Google,..quickly amounting some of google's top plays 'and' downloads,..possibly for the humor aspect,..but possibly for the quality of the ancient 1992 hit styled song itself !! higgins uploaded more videos in a hurry but no other g.e. video has rivaled White/black except for maybe 1992's BRANDY,...another hit song apparent that landed higgins high into google viewership and downloads,...the google analytics counter officially stopped sometime in late 2008 with Higgins videos last clocked in at about 100 and 20 million world wide views,.....possibly inspiring record labels to more frequently 'use bots' in an effort to keep up with Higgins and G.e. Today, WHITE BLACK THANG is a 'Google award' video of over 60 million confirmed 'views' making Greenhouse effect and Clark hagins one of the most 'viewed' musical bands ever !!
