Speaking at the research communication workshop: 'Maximizing the Impact of Agricultural Research in Africa', Fletcher Tembo, a Research Fellow at ODI in London concludes that research communicators, above all, need to understand the various audiences and to engage at their levels.

The Addis Ababa workshop was held 20-21 October 2008. It was organized by the Global Development Network (GDN) in partnership with the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), the World Bank Institute (WBI), and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), with support from the Information and Communications Technology – Knowledge Management (ICT-KM) program of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).
