The Perceptive Arm - robotics research

The Personal Robotics project within Intel research labs aims to develop useful robotic assistants for indoor, populated environments. To transition robots from structured, assembly line scenarios to more natural, unstructured environments requires advances in perception, reasoning under uncertainty, and human-robot interaction. The Personal Robotics project is pursuing research in all of these areas.

This video shows the "perceptive arm" robot which uses 3 different sensors to identify common objects, grasp them, then put them into a specific location.
