Do not go quietly into your classroom!
It started with a presentation to Simon Fraser University student teachers. I created a Powerpoint presentation by the same name and put it on on Slideshare so that I could embed the show into a wik for the presentation. A number of people suggested I create a video of it. Today I did that and put it on YouTube and on the Internet Archive. One is of poor quality and the other is great, but only in streaming mode, so here I am now on BlipTV.
Visit me on Pair-a-Dimes for your Thoughts and let me know what you think. Thanks,
Dave.
David, this is a phenomenal visual with thought-provoking images and ideas! Of course, you're singing to the choir when it comes to my views about educational technology, so maybe I'm biased. I'm impressed and inspired, and will be sharing this others to spread the passion!
David, Your video is a stunning piece of work. I will be happy to say I met you at BLC08 when I am sharing it. Great job. Cheryl Oakes
Great visual presentation. Daring information for those who still resist to the current tendency of using technology (adequately) in education.
Hey David, I love the interplay of words and music it makes for a very powerful message, delivered in a wonderfully clear way :-) Thank you.
This is a great presentation visually and for its message. Thank you. I will be sharing this with my staff to encourage them to move into the The Brave New World Wide Web2.0
Super cool. One of my diigo buddies, who lives in the UK, who I originally discovered on delicious alerted me to this video. We'll use it this Friday for pro D. I live beyond Hope in BC's Heartland. I too get to benefit from what happens in the burbs of Vancouver.
David .. thanks ... I hope I can show this video the TESOL international conference next month here in Mexico ... Where do you find the time? Great Job! --Frank

Thank you all for your comments!
MmeM, Hello 'neighbour'! You wrote your comment while I was presenting to a group of teachers... and I introduced diigo to them! Your comment made it onto the wiki when I got home: http://coqtlite.wikispaces.com/learningconversations
Frank, Go right ahead and use it! And be sure to share your conference experience with us!
Hi David,
Greetings from another Canuck....
Great stuff and I like it even better now on video! I've started putting lots of my own on video...not too hard with ppt.
I do pray for this world you envision but lately it has only been filled with legalese for me.....regulation might kill this cat before she learns to swim...but I'm still full of hope.
Thanks,
David http://eflclassroom.ning.com
This is a beautifully crafted video that has a really strong message for all educators. I would like to show it to my students as I want them to think about themselves as learners and also as teachers in the sense that I want them to be thinking about how they can take control of their own learning . It goes without saying that this is an incredibly powerful video for my colleagues as well. Thanks David.
AnnieB3525, I've seen over 70 comments regarding this video in different places and you are the first to mention showing it to students... hats of to you! Dave.
I see something new every time I watch this video. I'm going to show to all the technology using educators that I work with!
Keep posting this great stuff.
Thank you for creating this great video message. It is inspiring and on target! I'll share it with every teacher, professor, instructor and corporate trainer to whom deliver Moodle training. It will motivate them to take a leap into integrating online and blended learning strategies into their practice.
