This is a visualisation of air traffic over Europe as collected by people participating in the OpenATC project at www.openatc.com. The visualisation is around two days worth of data captured at one minute intervals. Flights drawn in green are at higher altitudes, and red are on or near the ground - oranges and yellows are in between.There are a couple of minor glitches in the data, but overall you can see an interesting picture of air traffic over Europe.The visualisation was created using dat...
A visualisation of 24 hours of Australian Qantas Airways flights over mainland Australia between capital cities. The data was scraped from flight arrival and departure information from the Qantas website. The routes do not reflect true routes - they're just a straight-line plot. The visualisation and scraping was done with Ben Fry and Casey Reas' Processing.
