The Rum Runners Winter can be built absolutely wrong, which is how we start the video. When you accidentally pickup the 151 you end up with a ball of fire in your mouth. But, when you build the drink correctly you get proper tasting notes.
The tasting notes include a very non-sweet "watery" cocktail without any big body with a bit of vanilla, spicy notes that has an aroma of eggnog. Perhaps a colder version of a hot toddy like drink.
Try this drink warm, what do you think? Question of the day, do you like your cocktails warmed, hot or cold?

Common Man Cocktails, the show about creating cool cocktails from historically documented cocktails, new aged one-of-a-kind cocktails, trendy drinks and drinks ripped from popular culture. While we are at it, we may dump some cocktail knowledge, experiences we have gained and just talk about whatever is on our minds. Finally, a "show" about cocktails, not another 2 minute "howto" video!
