London, 14 February 2012. Nick Scott, Digital communications managers at ODI, presentes some of the work he has been doing on monitoring and evaluating research uptake at ODI. In his views, while most organisations tend to focus on downloads and pageviews and indicators of success, these appear to be not sufficient in today's social web. Putting together a wide range of statistics at the level of publications and events you can get a much more complete picture of what make something successful. However, this is not an easy task and more experimentation is needed.
