Addis Ababa, 21 October 2010. Anke Weisheit from Mbarara University in Uganda convened the focus group on Indigenous Knowledge at the AgKnowledge Africa Share Fair. The session addresses the issues of institutionalizing indigenous knowledge and the role of libraries in Africa. It also presented cases where indigenous knowledge is combined with modern, scientific approaches to foster food security and determine whether forecasts.
