Brussels, 2 July 2008. Hans Herren, co-chair of the IAASTD, presents the key findings of the International Assessment on Agricultural Science and Technology for Development. In his words, the report underlines the need for a more sustainable agriculture that takes in consideration production, water, soil and biodiversity. We have been working with Social Media tools since they first emerged. We experimented on ourselves, finding ways in which the applications could support the work of the Euforic cooperative. On the basis of that experimentation we began to provide training and support and training to people and organisations working in international development. We were at the centre of the ground-breaking web2fordev conference in 2007 and since then have continued to evolve our ideas and services. The Euforic cooperative closed at the end of 2009. With the full support of the Board, Euforic staff and associates formed a company to continue the training and support functions.
