Electric mangles (antique ironers) like the one shown here from the 1950's, are an excellent tool for quickly and effortlessly ironing large volumes of fabric. The rotating arm is useful for flat pieces of fabric, and the rotation can be turned off to press garments as well.I started using a mangle when I had a hand-dyed fabric business where I had to press hundreds of yards of fabric pieces a week. I found my first mangle by placing an ad in the local buy and sell. I paid $50 for a cabinet model which has a large enough rotating arm to handle large table cloths and whole yard pieces. My second mangle is a wonderful little table top size, ideal for use in my sewing room when I need to press quilter's fat quarters (that sounds a bit rude if you don't know quilt talk!).2 minutes 6 seconds Less
