Justin Levitt works on redistricting, and a variety of voting rights concerns. He is the lead author of “Making the List: Database Matching and Verification Processes for Voter Registration”. Before joining the Brennan Center as Counsel for the Democracy Program, he was in-house counsel to America Coming Together, handling a broad array of election-related matters, and the Director of Strategic Targeting for a national presidential campaign. Levitt clerked for Judge Stephen Reinhardt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He graduated magna cum laude with a J.D. from Harvard Law School and holds an M.P.A. from the Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. magna cum laude from Harvard College. He is admitted to the bar in California, New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia, and to the U.S. District Court, C.D. California.
