Live Steam G Scale Locomotive "James" (the green engine?!) takes the Troublesome Trucks out for a spin around the Elmtree Line Garden Railway based in Derby UK. A special mention must be made for the gaurds van which decided that it would rather not stay on the rails, fortunately enough film was managed with it still ON the rails!!
Visiting Live Steam Locomotives provide services on the Rocky Ridge Railway.The Steam Engines Are A 1985 Built Merlin Midas MkIII called "Joy",a 2008 Roundhouse Built Fowler called "Becky" and a 2009 Roundhouse Built Fowler called "Kellie".The locomotives can normally be found on the Elmtree Line in Derby.
A short film with Live Steam "G" Scale hauled trains on the evolving Elmtree Line. The Steam Engine is Radio Controlled and is fuelled by Gas and Water, the gas taking place of what would normally be coal. The railway runs on 45mm track known as "G" Scale.

A trip to the Markeaton Park Light Railway in Derby on 17th February 2009 found the Baby Deltic D5905 hauling passenger services between Markeaton Station and the terminus at Mundy Halt. The Markeaton line is 15" gauge and runs for nearly one mile, having been extended to its current length in 1996. The railways Steam Locomotive the "Markeaton Lady" was resting in the shed along with new carriages that were put into service during 2008.
Live Steam Locomotive "Becky" a Roundhouse Fowler locomotive, provides the motive power around the Balcombe Line in February 2009. Heavy snowfalls had just about cleared from the lines, and Becky is seen getting ready and collecting her train from the sidings before running around the line.The Balcombe Line has a number of steep gradients which you can hear Becky working hard up. Newly acquired Live Steam Locomotive "Tina" (shown in the opening shots) meets visiting engines from The Elmtree Line. together they run services on the Balcombe Line in Rugby UK.Locomotives are in G Scale and are radio controlled.
Trains from the Elmtree Line make a visit to the StationJade Line in February 2009. Heavy snowfalls had been cleared from most of the running lines, but the lines were still slippery and the locomotives had to work hard to make it up some of the steep gradients on the line. "James" can be heard working very very hard to maintain momentum up one of the steep climbs with slippery rails!! Being lightfooted "Michelle" needed banking assistance to get her to the top, even the NW-2 lost its footings...
Live Steam Locomotive "Becky" runs a short freight service on the Elmtree Line after a heavy snowfall. Not all of the line was open to traffic due to very heavy snow on parts of the line. Also the line is not fully complete yet and thus some of the line has not been opened to traffic yet.
