Musical performance by a Newark band, the Halsey Street High Rollers, at a Halsey Street Block Party on Friday, October 28, 2011. Bad weather on the rain date, one day after even worse, cold, wet weather, drastically reduced the audience for this local group in Downtown Newark, NJ, and the bandstand was located in poor lite. Some of the band's quality comes thru, but my little camera, which I use mainly for stills, doesn't pick up the full range of sounds necessary to convey the fullness of the music. The saxophonist came up on the platform a bit late, and was scarcely visible behind another band member. They should correct things like that in future performances, and the organizers of Halsey Street Block Parties need to provide decent liting for the performers. Less
