In 2001, Romania began a major overhaul of its child welfare system in order to meet requirements to join the European Union. Part of this reform was the closure of traditional orphanages and the placement of abandoned children in family settings. For Bob Kidder, a die-hard Red Sox fan with severe dyslexia, the Red Sox Fantasy Camp in Fort Myers, Florida offers him a chance to recapture his lost dreams and to forge a closer relationship with his daughters. I shot and edited these short excerpts, and conducted the included interviews.

City of Mermaids
This is a short excerpt from my 2001 documentary about a group of former mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs, a historic Florida roadside attraction. The women, who range in age from 50 to 70, return to perform at the attraction for fun, but wind up fighting to save the park from closure.
