Many people aren't aware of the critical importance that the urban forest plays in cleaning our air and water, cooling our community in the summer, feeding local wildlife and adding to the real estate value of our neighbourhoods. We dedicate this episode to help educate the citizens of Oakville about these important issues.Our friends at Oakvillegreen will be working hard this year to update the Oakville tree protection bylaw that came into effect in the fall of 2008. The goal is to make it more effective at protecting our existing tree canopy and to allow better enforcement.
