At the Gothenburg Opera House, Karin and John sneak in to watch as Bjorn Epstein works on his rock opera, Scorpio Rising with temperamental singer, Lars St. Claire. While they take a break, Bjorn discovers the intruders who beg for permission to stay and watch rehearsal in the hopes that they can finally meet Sparhusen. Mysterious Lars seems to cast a spell on Karin and John begins to consider that he may have feelings for her.
