Web 2.0 technologies, like del.iciou.us, Podcasting, Netvibes, Second Life,LibraryThing, Screencasting have almost unlimited possibilities. But how can you usethese in library instructions?In this paper I will focus on personal start page tools like Netvibes (look-alikes areiGoogle, Pageflakes, MyYahoo). With this tool you can make your own free personalstart page. It allows you to put all your web resources into one page, including blogs,news, email, podcasts, pictures, videocasts, rss-feeds. You can also share the contentof a Netvibes-page with others. This makes it possible to develope pages for specificdepartments but also to use it in instructions. In the presentation I will demonstrateNetvibes: What is it, how do libraries use Netvibes, do they use it at all? How can weuse Netvibes in our library classes?
