I worked for many years in NYC on various national programs including The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and tons of stuff for VH1 and MTV. The 1918 Battle of Cambrai, also referred to as The 2nd Battle of Cambrai, was an engagement fought between troops of the Canadian Corps, British First and Third Armies and German Empire forces. The Battle of Cambrai was one in a long series of battles across the Hindenburg Line. The battle took place October 8 - October 10, 1918 it incorporated many of the newer tactics of 1918, meaning that the attack was an overwhelming success with light casualties in an extremely short amount of time.

The carrier, known as "The Ship, Which Wouldn't Die", survived a direct hit by a Japanese armor-piecing bomb just 40 miles off the coast of Japan in March 1945 and was eventually able to return under her own power to New York for repairs.

Directed by Robert Child. This sequence depicts the final assault on Vimy Ridge. On April 12, 1917, The 10th Canadian Brigade attacked Hill 145 (Vimy Ridge) at 5:00 am, supported by a significant amount of artillery and the 24th British Division of I Corps to the north. The German defensive artillery fire was late allowing the Canadian Corps to exploit wide gaps and break into the German positions.
