Evil Twin requested that I post his application for membership to the Evil League of Evil. Apparently, he’s too busy blowing stuff up to do it himself. I told him it was way to long and would probably be denied. He said “Sometimes true Evil takes longer than 3 minutes to brew.” When I suggested he still trim it down, he got ticked and exploded my recycling bin and exclaimed “if the naughty mule and his gang don’t want me, that’s fine. Just thank them for inspiring me - Mouhahahahahaha!” What a...
A couple of years ago we put together a concept for a new media food show. An interactive website about a cross Canada review of the ma and pa dinners and food stops in rural Canada. In addition to the food show, we wanted to have an underground site about the making of the food cruise. The food review would be real and the "behind the scenes" show would be acted. We got funding from TeleFilm to do a prototype, but after the prototype was done it never went into full production. This is the tr...
My friend Shayne and my brother Rob were hanging out in Mississauga one night during the Christmas 2003 holiday... getting bored... It was midnight, Shayne was leaving in 12 hours, someone suggests "hey why don't we make a movie" - What the hell we didn't have anything else to do. So we sketched out this idea, went out and shot it. It took about 3 to 4 hours in total, with one shot done later at 6am and one when i got back to Vancouver. I also edited in Vancouver. Ya, ya - i know we are drivin...
My entry for the 2003 NYC Midnight Movie Making Madness contest. 288 competing filmmakers were divided into 24 groups. Each group was given a genre , a subject, and 14 days to deliver a finished video. Ours was "drama" and "a homeless person tries to get his or her live back together". We won our heat and got to go to NYC for the finals to do it all again with a new genre and subject, but this time in 24 hours. In the end, we placed fourth in the finals.
The trailer from my first dramatic short: "Suicide Tape". The story is about how 3 people deal with their guilt over a missing daughter, sister, and child. It was shot in January 2000 over a 24 hour period.
I did this music video in 2003. It features a Ken Lawson, a really talented musician and actor. He performs regularly with Vancouver Theatre Sports.
Made for viewing on mobile phones. It was a finalist in Mobifest 2006 and accepted by the Portable Film Festival and Mobile Exposures. It's appeared online and at festivals in North America, Europe, and Australia.
