Turtle Creek fourth graders in Ms. Michelle Turner's class had their three-seconds-of-fame Friday by being on ABC's Good Morning America show. The show does a "Your Three Words" segment, and the class got on by having signs that read "Migrating To Mexico," then showing the monarch butterflies they raised from caterpillars being released.
Four monarch butterflies, raised by Ms. Michelle Turner's fourth grade class at Turtle Creek Elementary School, were released so they could "Migrate to Mexico" for the winter months. The class raised the monarchs from caterpillars. Throughout the year, the students could watch and learn as the caterpillars went through the final three stages of metamorphosis.
