Gaines’ storied editorial career has included stints as managing editor of the three top Time‐Life magazines: People, TIME and Life. After serving as managing editor of People, he took on the dual role of Life editor and publisher — the first time anyone simultaneously held both positions at Time, Inc. After spending eight years as a full‐time book author, Gaines has rekindled his passion for storytelling and his ambition to provide a full sensory experience to an audience in his role as editor-in-chief at the new FLYP, an online multidimensional media “experience” that asks people to think with their imaginations.
