A collaboration between the Centre for Digital Music the Drama Department at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). The Giant Instrument is a sound installation which is activated through movement and was developed at the Centre for Digital Music. Ali Campbell and Applied Drama students worked with community groups including Jewish Elders, Bangladeshi Primary School pupils and young people with physical disabilities, to make intergenerational work through co-authored sound tracks created with The Giant Instrument. The work was open to the public throughout Arts Week, held in the last week of April 2009. (This recording is an excerpt of the durational performance that Ali and students developed using the Giant Instrument.)
