Pentucket girls basketball team wins state title
World War II veterans from Amesbury and Newburyport gathered Friday, March 16, at Hollow Cafe in Amesbury for a breakfast honoring their service. About 30 veterans and their guests attended the event, which was organized by the veteran agents from Newburyport and Amesbury. In addition to honoring their service, the event was held to allow the veterans a chance to re-establish old friendships and make new ones.
Lowell's Boat Shop on the banks of the Merrimack River is gearing up for a $100,000 fundraising drive to build a 28-foot whaleboat for Mystic Seaport in Connecticut.
