If you love sports, the outdoors and action in the Lake District with some food thrown in then you've come to the right place.
Night falls over Loughrigg Tarn, with the sun setting behind the Langdales in the distance. Trance and Tranquility.
High winds caused a degree of chaos in Cumbria last night, with power outages and fallen tress. This one at Skelwith fell just after midnight and must have made a terrific crash when it fell, luckily no one was hurt and the tree debris was moved of the road which was then passable with care.
The amazing staff at Grasmere School do it again this time putting together a fantastic Christmas Concert. This is just the drum intro.
With some lovely cold days, rain fell as snow covering the county in a white blanket, mostly on the fells. When the suns comes out too the Lake Distrcit looks magical.

As the sun rises, it heats up the mist and illuminates the beautiful mountains around Thirlmere. What joy.
Waking up to a cold, potentially sunny winters morning in Grasmere, normally means an inversion. Today was no exception. Whilst Grasmere was bathed in hazy orange light, the view from Dunmail Raise was enchanting as the mist moved back and forth.
Steel Fell is the one on the left hand side as you go over Dunmail Raise from Grasmere to Keswick. It looks wonderful in the snow and normally is the first fell to catch the morning sunshine. Enjoy. Martin
The Lakes look fabulous in the snow, even more so when there is a little sun. The views from Walla Crag are simply amazing.
