Becoming a new parent means adjusting to a whole new life. Fortunately, there's a huge learning curve and lots of people to help you along the way. Sure, much of that advice is unsolicited and can be somewhat annoying, but every once and a while you gets some gems.I recently found an article in a magazine that was definitely worth sharing with other parents. What resources or advice have you learned that saved you from the brink of insanity?Join the conversation at http://www.sunnygault.com/c...
To snore or not to snore... that is the question. If you're a peaceful sleeper, the simple thought of snoring may completely annoy you. This described me perfectly... prior to getting married. Things are different now. I definitely have more patience... and I've learned to master the classic "arm nudge" in the middle of the night. That usually does the trick. But now, I'm the person with the snoring problem. It started a couple weeks ago... about halfway into my third trimester. There's simpl...
When it comes to airlines, we all have our own horror stories. Late/canceled flights, outrageous fees and poor service are typically at the top of that list. In our next Crossroads video, we're going to focus on the latter, specifically as it relates to baggage. We all know allowing airlines to handle our baggage will probably result in some major damage. Also, there's a good chance it will be delayed at arriving at our final destination. This is definitely frustrating, but somehow we've come t...
There's a new study conducted by Tulane University claiming children who are spanked are generally more aggressive in life. The study has been plastered all over the news recently, and it's literally driving me crazy. With a baby on the way, Ryan and I have talked a lot about how we want to raise our son, so this topic is very relevant to me. Before I go off on my personal rant (I'll save that for the video), I'd love to have your take on how you've chosen to discipline your kids. What works in...
So, the other day my husband and I had an interesting conversation about cyber safety. Of course, his idea of keeping safe online is not releasing any personal information whatsoever. I think we all should be careful, but the idea of not revealing personal information online is foreign to me. I mean, isn't that what makes the internet so interesting? How am I going to sleep at night if my friends aren't giving me a play-by-play of their personal lives through twitter? Seriously though, we can ...
One of the worst mistakes we can make is to take our safety for granted- and that applies to both men and women, neither of which are invincible. I'm all for taking extra precautions, even if it seems a bit drastic. You just never know what could happen...I was reminded of the importance of keeping safe this week when a young San Diego woman went missing. As of now, thousands of people are still looking for her.Sometimes things happen in life that you just can't prevent, but there's no harm in...
As many of you already know, my husband and I are pregnant with our first child. As a mom-to-be, I've noticed there are some common follow-up questions people ask when they learn you're expecting... including "is it a boy or girl?" Gender testing has been in the news a lot recently. Apparently, there is a blood test on the market that can reveal the gender of a child as early as five weeks into a pregnancy. Obviously, this raises some ethical questions. Here's a link to a recent MSNBC article:...
Seriously... what is it with companies that don't value quality customer service? In one week, I had the best and worst service from two different businesses. I will NEVER go back to the business who gave me bad customer service, however, I have already plugged the business who gave me great service to my family and friends.Tell me your best or worst customer service experience... and don't be afraid to use names. We all should be forewarned of these companies as we head into the holiday seaso...
Hello, my name is Sunny, and I have a problem. I'm way too dependent on anything digital, specifically computers and the internet.Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, are you willing to admit your digital dependence?Join the conversation at http://www.sunnygault.com/crossroads
This crossroad is ripped from the headlines... sort of, if you consider my Facebook wall posts to be "headlines".Many of you seem to have some strong opinions when it comes to online dating sites and the people who use them. I'm extremely interested in this topic because I'm working on a new project focusing on people who are trying to find love online.I'm a big fan, but I want to know what you think. Did you meet your sweetie online? Tell me your story. Visit http://www.sunnygault.com/crossro...
