November 28 2011. More and more designers are exploring the possibilities of digital technology when processing and producing their work. Typical is the multi-disciplinary approach: graphic design meets web design and the use of installations. Work by various digitally operating designers is now even labeled ‘Dutch Digital Design’. Is there such a thing as Dutch Digital Design? How do designers fill in this phenomenon?
CrossLab is het medialab van de Willem de Kooning Academie. Met als uitgangspunten multimedia, technologie en digitale ‘tools’ wil dit experimentele laboratorium en kenniscentrum technologisch hoogwaardig mediaonderwijs aanbieden. Het doel: studenten van alle studierichtingen prikkelen, inspireren en stimuleren tot het verkennen van technologie en multimedia.
