Crescent is an independent producer and director of film and television. Whether the project is a website for a non-profit organization or a feature film about one woman's story, Crescent brings a point-of-view often overlooked, or purposefully ignored by the mainstream media. Crescent has an eye for finding new "truths", exploring culture, art, and movements for social justice. At the same time, she is committed to broadening access to independent media for all audiences. Crescent graduated from Hampshire College with a BA in Film/Video and Political Economics. Her thesis was a documentary about women weavers in Guatemala. She continues her education at non-profit media organizations like the Bay Area Video Coalition. Ms. Diamond has been producing film, television and live events since 1998. In the non-profit sector, Crescent worked as a Programming Coordinator and Final Cut Pro Teacher at Berkeley Community Media (BCM) for three years. While at BCM, Crescent created a summer youth television production camp, which has been running strong since 2004. Ms. Diamond also has experience grant writing, event planning and producing media focused on fundraising for non-profit organizations.
