With his offbeat take on clubwear and inventive approach to luxury, Gareth Pugh is arguably one of Britain's most innovative fashion designers. The Sunderland native started designing for the English National Youth Theatre at just 14 before catching the eye of Fashion East, a hotbed for fashion talent in 2005, creating his first collection without a studio or the help of assistants. Crane.tv caught up with Pugh at his East London studio to find out just how far he's come since those days, his latest project with choreographer Wayne McGregor, and the best piece of advice he's ever received. www.garethpugh.net
