The "Pulse" system manages the entire supply chain of blood products from donation, through testing and blood product production, to the safe and timely issue of blood products across England and North Wales. NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is a Special Health Authority in the NHS. It is responsible for managing the National Blood Service, ensuring the provision of a safe, reliable and efficient supply of blood and associated services to the NHS in England and North Wales.
