CMNtv Reaching Out - Troy Community Coalition 2011 Host Kim Carey welcomes Nancy Morrison, Executive Director or the Troy Community Coalition. The Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all who live or work in Troy, by promoting a lifestyle free from the abuse of alcohol and drugs. The 46th annual Art & Apples Festival took place in Rochester Municipal Park during the second weekend in September. An estimated 200,000 visitors enjoyed artwork from over 290 artists. The festival is the main fundraiser for the Paint Creek Center for the Arts, located in downtown Rochester. Visit www.pccart.org for more information about the center.
In its 14th year Arts, Beats & Eats invaded downtown Royal Oak over Labor Day Weekend. 160 artists were on hand, as well as 68 food vendors and 210 bands performed on 11 stages.
