If you have climbed outside before you may want to give this a skip. You will not get the 25 minutes of your life back. You have been warned! Donate a $1.00 at ;http://mountainguide.com This video is for those who are stepping outside for the very first time. The transition can be a little scary. Don't be intimidated by the stupid rock jocks you have as much right as they do to be out there. The other person your going to run into a lot is the guy/gal who just won't shut up. It doesn't take long to figure out that they really don't know that much but that doesn't stop them from telling everybody at the crag what little they do know. Then there is the accident waiting to happen. This guy/gal is doing everything wrong and is teaching there friend how to do everything wrong. Even better they are climbing right beside you and you can see that you are about to deal with a high trauma accident. Unless your as confident as Mike Barter it is pretty hard to step in and point out the error of their ways. I once met a couple of real life brain surgeons (this is absolutely true) belaying off of their gear loops! So I guess education is a poor way of measuring intelligence.
This series of videos either teaches basic and advanced climbing systems for the new and seasoned climber. A host of certified guides will share the tips and tricks that will allow you to have a safer mountaineering experience.
